Department of Fine Arts & Humanities,
University of Alberta-Augustana

I'm an assistant professor of philosophy and black studies at the Augustana faculty, University of Alberta. Outside academia, I love watching football (soccer as it is called in North America) and my favourite team is Manchester United. I also love playing video games and I love reading fantasy novels and watching movies of the same genre. I fantasize about going into space one day.

Research

Primarily, I research topics in modal epistemology, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science: I consider scientific findings, broadly construed, about perception and imagination (and other relevant mental faculty) in addressing traditional modal epistemological questions.

Secondarily, I use my expertise in analytic philosophy as discussed above to clarify issues in African philosophy.

Teaching

So far, I have taught a variety of philosophy courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
